Mammal Survey at West Muchlarnick: Tracking, trapping and more in South East Cornwall

Sunday 10th August

Start: 9am

A chance to look for mammals at one of CWT's latest acquisitions near Looe. The site is a mixture of intensity farming with meadows, hedgerows, woodland and marsh.  This is a great chance to survey a new site and to see what is there.  CMG will be collaborating with CRAG and Friends of Kilminorth Woods.  We will putting out mammal traps and setting up footprint tunnels and camera traps.

Cornwall Wildlife Trust Open Gardens

Gardens are vital wildlife havens and bring people closer to nature. This year CWT are pleased to announce their fourth series of Open Garden days.

All the gardens opening for the Trust, be they large or small, are loved by their owners who want to share their enthusiasm and passion for gardening with others. We look to forward to meeting you at one of these fabulous gardens.

Dormice Box Installation Day

Trelowarren Estate, Helston

Please join Sophie in a morning of installing 50 dormice boxes up at a new site as part of the Dormice Monitoring Scheme.  The day will include a brief talk on how we survey for dormice and why it is important, and how the dormice monitoring scheme works and why survey Trelowarren Estate.

We would like to monitor more sites for dormice especially in the West of dormice box building day to build 50 new boxes to install at a new monitoring site in West Cornwall.
