Wildlife Survey at Chyverton CWT Nature Reserve

Grid ref: SW791 514

Saturday 3rd May 9am

We’ll be checking longworth traps, hedgehog tunnels and reptile refuges, so hopefully a good diversity of animals will be recorded. This is a wet site so even if the weather has been dry wellies are advisable.

This is a wet heath and woodland site is easy to find:

Heading east on the A30 at Marazanvose, turn left (after the houses and before the dual carriageway section starts). Follow this lane for c.1km. The reserve entrance is on the right. There’s only space for a couple of cars by the entrance, but there’s a larger parking area about another 100m past the reserve entrance. N.B. It’s not near Chiverton roundabout, its c.6km east of the roundabout.

Heading west on the A30, take the left at the end of the Zelah bypass just as the dual carriageway ends. Follow this lane for c.1km. The reserve entrance is on the right. There’s only space for a couple of cars by the entrance, but there’s a larger parking area about another 100m past the reserve entrance.

Please call Steve Adams on 07974 204079 or e-mail on steve.adams@cecenvironment.co.uk to book onto the event.
