Mammal of the Month!

Rabbit

RABBIT

Oryctolagus cuniculus

A common and widespread species in Cornwall.

However, still under recorded, depsite it being so easy to see- please don't forget that rabbits records are important too!

So, please do send in your rabbit records!

If you do see any rabbits, or any mammal, please let us know. We need to know WHAT you saw, WHERE and WHEN you saw it and WHO you are. Records can be sent direct to ERCCIS here.

The CMG has a varied programme of events, including mammal surveys, talks and management activities.

Otter Spotter Training Event Day With the Friends of Luxulyan Valley

10th April 2010, 10am- ~2pm

Luxulyan Village Hall

Learn how to survey for otters. The day will start with a talk and discussion on how to recognise otter tracks and signs, with display materials. Then after lunch we will walk around the beautiful Luxulyan Valley to put theory into practice.

You will require boots/wadders, warm clothing and of course a packed lunch.
